So, it's been a while since I've posted anything...no good excuse except for being super busy at work and on the weekends with continuing ed classes. So here are a few new pictures to show what we've been up to lately.
Playing on the couch with cups
Using mom as a recliner chair
Little blue hooded boys
Ginger is really taking a liking to Mitch as evidenced by her kisses! He doesn't seem to mind her scratchy tongue either.
Sixth months old! Here are the stats: height 27 inches (75th percentile) weight 16 lbs, 14.5 oz (45th percentile)
Just a few pictures of Mitch playing on the floor--he's sitting on a rug made by Great-Grandma Werner. He's getting very good at sitting on his own and before we know it he's going to be crawling!
Mitch got to try rice cereal a couple weeks ago for the first time. He wasn't too sure of the taste at first, but definitely liked eating from a spoon. He loved the water we gave him afterward and has steadily gotten better with eating!
So, on Christmas day it snowed giant snowflakes...Mitch had a great time hanging out by the window and watching and didn't even care that he was completely folded in half!
We also had a lot of fun playing on the floor with new toys.
At one point Mitch rolled over and his head landed right on this cup...he stayed there for a few minutes...just long enough to get some pictures. We'll let him know that he might want something a little softer when he starts sleeping with a pillow!
So, today was a snow day...I was supposed to go to work but we got so much snow yesterday and the top layer is ice so it wasn't very safe to drive. Since it doesn't snow very often in the city there are few (if any) snow plows or trucks to put gravel down. So instead of working I got to play with Mitch and Matt in the snow. Here's our family self-portrait.
Even though we broke through the ice layer by just standing on it, Mitch doesn't weigh enough yet; so we were able to lay him down on top of the ice to take some pics! I really wanted to make a snowman but the snow underneath the ice was not good packing snow; no snow angels either!
This picture gives a good idea of what the ice was like (by my feet).
Little Bear
Charlotte had a lot of fun playing in the snow (before the ice formed on top)
Here are just a few shots of what the street and our house looked like. Compare to just a few days earlier with the last posting of the first snow! What a difference!
We tried to put Charlotte's jacket on so she could play again, but with the ice on top she was a little freaked out! At least she looks cute!
