New things every day!

Mitch is now able to roll from his back to his stomach-this is what he does when he's supposed to be napping! He also is unsure of what to do when he gets on his stomach and makes grunting noises that wake up his parents in the middle of the night!

Three months old! How time flies! Mitch toppled over on the couch right after we got this picture...all the rest have my hands holding him up!

Smiling Charlotte

Play time with mom after waking up from a nap. Mitch sleeps much better when sleeping on someone; he sleeps about 45 minutes in the crib vs. 2 hours on mom or dad's chest!

Just another cute Mitchell picture!

Here's Mitch with all his friends...on the left is Elliott at 2 weeks old, then Mitch (who was not too happy about the photo session), Travis is a year old and not understanding why Mitch is upset, and the ring leader of them all is Samantha at 3 years old!

Just the boys.

Day to day happenings

Family self-portrait.

Pre-bath with Dad.

Mitch now likes to face out when playing so he can see the world.

Tummy time with Mom

This was one of many pictures taken while Mitch was sitting on Mom's lap. He likes to lick things and by the time we were tired of this position my leg was all wet!

Meeting Aunt Beth

The next Aunt to visit was Beth, Kate's sister who lives in Philadelphia. Mitch seemed very fond of her as you can see from the pictures; they had lots of fun playing and Beth was a big help in calming him down when he wasn't happy, giving mom and dad a little break!

Playtime on the couch.

Mitch seems a little unsure with crazy mom and aunt Beth closing in for a picture.

Napping is always better on someone's lap. Lately the crib has been a challenge for Mitch to stay asleep for longer than 10 minutes. This shows his preferred method!

A sleepy goodbye in the morning before Beth left for the airport. We'll miss you!

The past few weeks

It's been a few weeks since I've posted anything, no real good excuse except that babies are demanding! Anyway, not too much is new with us but here are some cute pics to look at!

Mitchell now takes his bath in the bathtub instead of over the sink because he actually has fun and splashes water all over!

Self portrait of mom and Mitch

Mitch got this cute bear sweatshirt from his friend, Travis (who outgrew it long ago) but he really only wore it for 10 minutes before getting upset. We took some pictures to document however and mom thinks he's beary cute!

Here's Mitch on his 2 month birthday, posing with the elephant again...what a difference from the first month. Now he can help to sit up and even had a smile for the camera!

Just another cute picture (mom takes lots of them during the day). You can see the drool on his chin if you look closely!

Eight weeks old and growing!

So, Mitch went to the doctor today for his 8 week check-up. He had his first round of vaccines as you can see by the band-aid on his leg. He cried lots, then fell asleep for a good portion of the day; overall I think he did pretty well. As for the stats: he weighs 11 lbs 14.5 oz and is 24 inches tall! That puts him in the 50th percentile for weight and 85th percentile for height! He was given a clean bill of health and we don't have to go back until 4 months old. The rest of these pictures have nothing to do with the doctor's visit, but I think they're cute, so I wanted to post them anyway!

Swaddled from below the arms to begin the transition to no swaddling. Mitch likes to keep his arms up when he sleeps.

This is Mitch and his toy, Whoozit. He really loves it and smiles lots when he's looking at it, it just so happens that he was looking scared/surprised when I took this picture!

Super baby!!!

All smiles

I've been trying to capture all the smiles Mitch has been giving; I have lots of pictures but none of them quite capture when he's super happy. But they're cute anyway, so here they are!

Mitch's first trip to the zoo

When Aunt Allison was in town, she, Mitchell and I went to the zoo and saw the new baby elephant! He was about 3 weeks old and weighed 338 lbs! These are the best pictures I was able to get; they're a little blurry because we weren't allowed to use a flash. The baby was really cute just like all babies which is why we love them!

Self portrait after seeing the baby elephant.

Mitchell needed to eat at the zoo; afterwards since he was awake we decided to take some pictures with the animals. Here he is with the giraffe. He might be a little too young as he didn't really pay attention!
