On the move...

I can't believe I haven't posted anything in so long. Life gets busy and we've been taking pictures but not putting them on the computer until much later. Anyway, things are good with us, Mitch is still a happy baby, moving more and more each day. Well, enough talk, here are the pics!

Here's Mitch sleeping very soundly in his crib...this was his 2nd nap of the day (over 2 hours each) and we had to wake him up! I liked his leg position and of course his cute little face!

Here's Mitch at 7 months

...and here he is at 8 months. His new talents are waving, clapping and crawling--getting faster by the day.

So, it's been a while since I've posted anything...no good excuse except for being super busy at work and on the weekends with continuing ed classes. So here are a few new pictures to show what we've been up to lately.

Ginger is really taking a liking to Mitch as evidenced by her kisses! He doesn't seem to mind her scratchy tongue either.

Sixth months old! Here are the stats:
height 27 inches (75th percentile)
weight 16 lbs, 14.5 oz (45th percentile)

Play time

Just a few pictures of Mitch playing on the floor--he's sitting on a rug made by Great-Grandma Werner. He's getting very good at sitting on his own and before we know it he's going to be crawling!

Tummy time is now one of his favorites!

Solid food!

Mitch got to try rice cereal a couple weeks ago for the first time. He wasn't too sure of the taste at first, but definitely liked eating from a spoon. He loved the water we gave him afterward and has steadily gotten better with eating!

So, we got Mitch his high chair and have been having him sit in it when we're eating. He seems to like it; next weekend we might try some rice cereal!

More snow in Portland

So, on Christmas day it snowed giant snowflakes...Mitch had a great time hanging out by the window and watching and didn't even care that he was completely folded in half!

We also had a lot of fun playing on the floor with new toys.

At one point Mitch rolled over and his head landed right on this cup...he stayed there for a few minutes...just long enough to get some pictures. We'll let him know that he might want something a little softer when he starts sleeping with a pillow!

Just relaxing a bit...Christmas day was a little overwhelming so most of the presents were opened when Mitch was sleeping or over the next few days.

Mitch did enjoy the wrapping paper though I'm not sure he understood that the present is what's underneath!
